Analyst and Professional Distance Runner Josh Cox joined us live to talk about what he saw when he was covering the marathon that morning for Universal Sports Network. This segment aired on the KTLA 5 Morning News on April 14, 2014.

Tuesday, April 15, is the one-year anniversary of the Boston Marathon bombings. Analyst and Professional Distance Runner Josh Cox was at the scene in his role calling the race for Universal Sports Network.  He will be back there again this year in the same role. Running a marathon is extremely difficult and a great example of the resiliency of the human spirit. Josh says so many runners are looking at this year’s race as a way to triumph over tragedy. Josh is also a professional distance runner and holds the American record in the 50K (31 miles). Tuesday will mark the anniversary of the bombings. Universal Sports Network will show a tribute being held in Boston, followed by a re-broadcast of last year’s race. People in L.A. that want to watch the 2014 race next Monday (April 21) can catch it on Universal Sports Network starting at 5:30 a.m. Pacific.  They can also watch encore presentations at 5pm and 8 p.m. Pacific.  Universal Sports Network is the exclusive national broadcast home for the Boston Marathon.
