A sheriff’s deputy saw the boy throw an uncooked egg directly at the homeless woman while she was praying, according to a news release from the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.

The woman was struck in the torso and complained of pain, the release stated.

The deputy detained the alleged attacker as well as two other teens who were in a nearby vehicle.

Inside the vehicle, authorities found evidence that led deputies to believe the teens were involved in other incidents, the release stated.

Officials posted images online of some of the items, including a mask, backpacks, a glove and what appears to be an Airsoft-type pellet gun, according to the L.A. Times.

The three teenagers were booked for felony assault and conspiracy.

They were all held without bail and were taken to the Sylmar Detention Facility.

Anyone with information about the incident or similar attacks was urged to contact the Lancaster Sheriff’s Station at 661-948-8466 or use the “LA Crime Stoppers” Program anonymously.
