Stolen Vehicle Pursuit Ends in South L.A., At Least 1 in Custody

A police pursuit involving a stolen vehicle traveled through surface streets before coming to an end in South Los Angeles late Tuesday morning.

The pursuit appeared to have originated in the East Los Angeles area with county Sheriff’s Department deputies following a vehicle.

Los Angeles Police Department officers joined the pursuit, according to the Newton Division’s Twitter account, which stated the vehicle was stolen.

“Please remember to pull to the right side of the road if you hear sirens,” the tweet stated.

Aerial video from Sky5 appeared to show front-end damage to the car believed to be involved in the pursuit.

Video also showed one person apparently being taken into custody.
