Amber Alert Canceled After Fresno County Girl, 3, Is Found

An Amber Alert was canceled Monday morning after a 3-year-old Fresno County girl who had been reported abducted was found, authorities said.

Tanya Ruiz was abducted at 7:45 p.m. Sunday in the small town of Huron (map), according to the California Highway Patrol.

She was reunited with her mother after being found running through a field, said Marlene Gonzalez, a dispatcher with the Huron Police Department.

The alleged abductor was described as a Hispanic male with long hair, approximately 30 years old, who was last seen wearing a red shirt and red hat.

It was not immediately clear who found the girl.
