Deputies Fired on During Surveillance Operation in Walnut Park

Two men were being sought Monday night after allegedly shooting at two San Bernardino County deputies who were conducting surveillance on them.

It happened around 9:10 p.m. in the 2900 block of Flower Street in Walnut Park, acccording to Sgt. Patricia Ruiz of Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.

Video of the scene showed a massive response by L.A. County deputies who were assisting in the search for the men.

No one was hit by the gunfire.

It was unclear why San Bernardino deputies were in the neighborhood.
