wxstoryAs in all things weather related, there is still a bit of uncertainty as to whether we will be experiencing an El Niño year or not or if so how strong it will be.

However, based on water temperature averages in the Pacific from February to April of this year, the National Weather Service has issued and El Niño Watch.

A WATCH means conditions are favorable for an El Niño pattern within the next six months. According to the article by Climate.gov, ” On a global scale, no other single phenomenon has a greater influence on whether a year will be warmer, cooler, wetter, or drier than average.”
