Rosario Crouse had been living with her daughter in the 11800 block of Carlisle Avenue until Saturday when she stated she wanted to live somewhere else, perhaps in Indio, according to a news release from the Chino Police Department.

Crouse packed her belongings and left, saying she was headed east, the release stated.

On Monday, her wallet was found on a street in Fresno and turned in to police.

Police notified her son and when he tried to contact his mother on her cellphone it was answered by a man who said he had purchased the phone for $20 from someone on the street, according to the release.

The son then contacted police in Chino to report his mother missing.

Anyone with information on Rosario Crouse was urged to contact Chino police at 909-628-1234.
