1 Dead After Single-Vehicle Crash in Fullerton Storm Drain

Investigators were at the scene Wednesday of a single-vehicle crash in a Fullerton storm drain where one person was found dead, according to authorities.


Investigators continued to look into a crash on May 7, 2014. A vehicle was found upside down, with one occupant dead, on Tuesday.

A vehicle was found upside down in a storm drain Tuesday near East Malvern Avenue and Burning Tree Road (map) after police responded to a call around 10:42 p.m., Fullerton police Lt. John Siko said.

The vehicle had not struck anything before going into the drain, Siko said.

The person’s identity was not immediately known.

The car remained in the storm drain as of 6 a.m. Wednesday, aerial video from Sky5 showed.
