Less Than 300 Customers Remain Without Power in Santa Clarita

Utility crews on Saturday evening were working to restore power to 273 customers affected by an outage in Santa Clarita, officials said.

The incident, which began at 5:40 p.m., initially left 4,975 customers without power, said Michael Padian, spokesman for Southern California Edison. The cause of the outage was not immediately known.

The utility estimated that power would be fully restored by 6 a.m., according to an update at 8:11 p.m. on its website.
