Missing 12-Year-Old Girl From South L.A. Found Safe

Family members have reestablished contact with a 12-year-old girl from South Los Angeles who had been missing since Wednesday, police said.

The location of the girl, whom relatives described as “OK,” was unknown, nor was it clear how she was found.

She had not been seen since she left her home in the 200 block of East 29th Street (map) at about 9:45 p.m. on May 21, according to a news release from the Los Angeles Police Department.

The girl suffers from a medical condition and was in need of medication, police stated.

She was described as a Hispanic female with black hair and brown eyes. She stands 5 feet 2 inches tall and weighs about 190 pounds, according to police.
