79-Year-Old Man Who Went Missing in West Hollywood Found Safe by Police

UPDATE: Francisco Mazzola was found early Wednesday morning by Los Angeles Police Department officers driving in the Hollywood area, according to the Sheriff’s Department. He was uninjured but dehydrated and was taken to a hospital and released to his family.

Los Angeles sheriff’s detectives and family members were asking for the public’s help Monday in finding a missing 79-year-old man.

Francisco Mazzola was last seen at a residence in the 8700 block of Shoreham Drive in West Hollywood at around 10 p.m. on Friday, according to a news release from the L.A. County Sheriff’s Department.

Mazzola “suffers from memory loss and becomes easily confused,” the release stated.

He was described by authorities as white, standing 5-foot-6 and weighting about 130 pounds. Mazzola has brown hair and is balding, according to the Sheriff’s Department. He had on a blue New England Patriots jacket, a black shirt and blue jeans.
