A series of burglaries at apartments near the UCLA campus had many students on edge on Friday.

Amber Delperdang and her roommates became the latest victims when a man broke into their apartment early Friday morning.

One of the young women heard the intruder and caught him trying to steal her laptop.  She confronted him and he ran off, Delperdang said.

The fact that the burglaries were taking place while students were at home, often sleeping, has many in the area very concerned.
