Jeep Crashes Through Building in Thousand Oaks, 5 Injured

Investigators were trying to determine what caused a Jeep to crash through a building in Thousand Oaks on Wednesday leaving five people injured.

The crash occurred in the 2700 block of West Hillcrest Drive (map), according to a tweet from Capt. Mike Lindbery of the Ventura County Fire Department just after 11 a.m.

The Jeep apparently drove through the front window of the building and came to a rest near some office furniture.

Two people injured the crash were taken from the scene by ambulance, Lindbery tweeted. There was no word on their condition.

Three others were injured, but not transported, according to Lindbery’s tweet.

The driver and a passenger in the Jeep were not injured in the crash, Lindbery said.

The Ventura County Sheriff’s Office was investigating the incident.
