Police identified a 23-year-old Montclair man Wednesday who was found shot to death the previous day, and stated that his girlfriend, her 17-year-old son and a man were booked in connection to the crime.

Joe Cisneros was found dead early Tuesday morning, and a red or burgundy sports car was reported to have sped away from the scene.

Montclair detectives later earned that the vehicle may have belonged to the victim’s girlfriend, Ontario resident Karen Taylor, according to a Montclair Police Department news release.

Taylor, her juvenile son and Larry Oswalt were then located at an Ontario motel.

After taking them in for questioning, police believe the three went to Cisneros’ residence to assault him and Oswalt shot him several times. They then fled in Taylor’s car, changed their clothes and hid the gun.

The weapon was later found, and Taylor and Oswalt were booked at the West Valley Detention Center. The 17-year-old was booked at a juvenile hall.
