Police Searching for Gunman After Officer Involved Shooting in San Bernardino; No Injuries Reported

Authorities were on the hunt Wednesday for a gunman who shot at officers and a 58-year-old San Bernardino resident before fleeing the area.

San Bernardino police officers responded to reports of gunfire around 10:50 p.m. Tuesday in the 500 block of East Baseline Street (map), a department press release stated.

Upon arrival, officers met with the reporting party and were shot at by a gunman in the Waterman Gardens housing complex.

Officers returned fire at the unidentified shooter, who fled the scene.

The officers and reporting party were not injured during the incident.

The shooter was never located and it was not known if they were injured.
