Three suspects have been arrested in connection with the May kidnapping and beating of a 22-year-old Camarillo man, authorities said Friday.

Jess Chambers, 20, Sean Hendricks, 23, and Eric Dean, 18, were booked at the Ventura County Pre-Trial Detention Facility after being taken into custody, according to a news release. It was unclear when the arrests took place.

The incident occurred on May 12, when James Loft was physically attacked and forced out of his girlfriend’s Camarillo home by two men, the Ventura County Sheriff’s Department said.

“The victim was then driven to a secluded parking lot, where he was severely beaten by the suspects,” the release said.

The attack left Loft with a fractured jaw and multiple contusions, authorities said.

Investigators identified the suspects as Chambers, a Camarillo resident, and Hendricks and Dean, both of Oxnard. Their arrests followed a weekslong investigation in which “numerous witnesses were interviewed, search warrants were served and numerous items of evidentiary value were collected,” according to sheriff’s Sgt. John J. Gleason.
