Shooting Investigation Causes Hourslong Closure of 15 Freeway in Corona

A shooting investigation caused the southbound side of the 15 Freeway in Corona to close Saturday night, according to California Highway Patrol officials.

The incident took place near the El Cerrito Road off-ramp around 6:30 p.m., a CHP incident log stated.

The "law enforcement-related closure" occurred after two vehicles were in a traffic collision, the California Department of Transportation tweeted around 7:10 p.m.

Traffic was being diverted onto East Ontario Avenue.
