Santa Ana Man Charged With Attempted Murder After Allegedly Stabbing Estranged Wife

A man who allegedly stabbed his estranged wife multiple times and shot her with a pellet gun in Santa Ana has been arrested, police stated Wednesday.

Juan Carlos Guadarrama, 42, arranged to meet his wife at a location in the 1200 block of East Dyer Road (map) on Saturday when he allegedly assaulted her, according to a Santa Ana Police Department news release.

The woman was transported to a local trauma center in critical condition.

Police received information that Guadarrama would be near South State College Boulevard and East Ball Road in Anaheim (map) Tuesday and located the man at a nearby park.

He was booked at the SAPD jail on an attempted murder charge and was being held without bail.
