Woman Found Dead Outside Burbank Community Center; Investigation Under Way

Police on Monday were investigating the death of a woman who was found on the grass outside an adult community center in Burbank, officials said.

Officers responded at 2:08 p.m. to the Joslyn Center, in the 1300 block of West Olive Avenue (map), where they discovered the woman who appeared to be in her 30s, the Burbank Police Department said in a press release. She showed no signs of life when initially contacted by the officers and was pronounced dead at the scene.

No signs of trauma were found during a preliminary investigation, authorities said.

Police detectives were working with the Los Angeles County coroner’s office to determine the cause of death and the woman’s identity.
