Video: Firefighters Battle Blaze at Westlake Church

Firefighters extinguished a blaze that spread from a Westlake patio to a nearby church early Friday morning, according to officials.

The fire broke out in the 900 block of South Westlake Avenue (map) around 1:28 a.m., according to Los Angeles Fire Department spokeswoman Katherine Main.

It took 55 firefighters 19 minutes to knockdown the fire, she stated.

The cost of damage and cause of the fire was under investigation.
