Help Sought in Locating Special Needs Teenager Missing Since Saturday

Authorities and family members were asking for the public’s help in locating an 18-year-old girl with special needs who has been missing since Saturday.

Tanijah Williams was last seen around 6 p.m. leaving her home on the 2000 block of West Imperial Highway in Los Angeles, according to a news release from the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.

The teenager was wearing a black and white short sleeve top, black pants, a white coat and black tennis shoes.

Williams was described as 5 feet 9 inches tall, 185 pounds with black hair and brown eyes.

She has not officially been diagnosed with autism, but family members said she was easily influenced by others and were concerned for her safety.

Anyone with information was asked to contact the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department’s Missing Persons Unit at 323-890-5502.
