1 Fatally Shot by Riverside Police During Drug Investigation

Riverside police fatally shot someone during a narcotics investigation on Tuesday.

No officers were injured during the interaction, about which minimal details were provided by the Riverside Police Department.

The shooting occurred about 2:30 p.m. near Keller and Bushnell avenues (map). Police appeared to be focused on a home near the intersection, video from the scene showed.

The suspect is deceased.  A gun was recovered at the scene,” a brief email from police Lt. Mike Cook stated.

The individual’s gender, age and name were not provided by police.

“We aren’t sharing any other details at this point. That’s all subject to the ongoing investigation,” Cook said in an interview at the scene.
