Firefighters Knock Down House Fire in Los Feliz; No Injuries Reported

Forty-five Los Angeles firefighters on Thursday morning extinguished a fire at a two-story home in Los Feliz.

There were no reports of injuries in the blaze, which broke out in the 3500 block of Griffith Park Boulevard (map).

It was unclear when the fire started. Aerial footage showed flames emanating from the roof shortly before 5 a.m. The blaze was extinguished within 41 minutes and knocked down by 5:22 a.m., the Fire Department announced on Twitter.

More than a dozen fire engines were at the scene, about half a mile west of the 5 Freeway and Los Angeles River.

The cause of the incident and the extent of damage were under investigation.
