An investigation was underway Friday after a person was struck and killed by a Metro Red Line train in Studio City.
Someone reported the person was beneath the subway train near the Metro station located at 3901 Lankershim Avenue (map) at about 11:50 a.m., according to Brian Humphrey of the Los Angeles Fire Department.
The person found beneath the train was pronounced dead at the scene, Humphrey confirmed.
Train service was delayed due to a “train-person incident,” according to a Metro Los Angeles tweet.
