Sheriff’s Homicide Detectives Investigating Death of 4-Month-Old Boy in Lancaster

Sheriff’s homicide detectives on Sunday were investigating the death of a 4-month-old boy in Lancaster, authorities confirmed.

Investigators responded shortly before 3 p.m. to the 44000 block of Division Street (map), according to a statement issued late Sunday night by the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.

The victim was transported to a hospital and pronounced dead, the statement said.

The child was only described as a 4-month-old black male by Lancaster sheriff’s department Lt. Pfrehm.

No other details were immediately available.

Homicide detectives were also investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of a 12-year-old boy in Palmdale on the same day.
