One man was killed and another person was injured after being shot Tuesday night at Villa Parke in Pasadena, according to police.

Officers responded to the park, which is in the area of Marengo Avenue and Villa Street, at around 10:20 p.m. after receiving a “shots fired” call, a Pasadena Police Department news release stated Wednesday.

They discovered that the unidentified man, who was in his 50s, had been shot and killed, according to the release.

Shortly after, a second victim arrived at an area hospital with an apparent gunshot wound. The man had also been shot at Villa Parke, police said.

He was hospitalized in stable but serious conditions.

No arrests have been made in the case, and police did not have a description of the shooter or shooters immediately available.

Villa Parke would remain closed through the morning Wednesday while the investigation into the incident continued.

Anyone with information about the shooting was urged to call lead police Detective Anthony Russo at 626-744-6489 or the Pasadena Police Department at (626) 744-4241. Anonymous tips can be left on the website
