Gang-Related Shooting in Long Beach Leaves 4 Wounded, 1 Critically, Police Say

Four people were wounded, one critically, in a shooting Sunday night in Long Beach, authorities said.

The incident was reported at 9:40 p.m. in the 200 block of West 14th Street (map), a spokesperson for the Long Beach Police Department said.

Investigators believe the shooting was gang-related, according to the spokesperson.

The four wounded were taken to a hospital. One person was in critical condition; the three others suffered injuries that were not life-threatening, police said.

A possible fifth victim may have transported him or herself to a hospital, authorities said.
