Raymond Newton Baker was arrested Thursday following a three-week investigation into claims made by a 29-year-old woman that he sexually assaulted her while supposedly training her to use a medical device, the Orange County Sheriff's Department stated in a news release.

The woman met Baker after answering a Craigslist job advertisement for an opening at a spa in Fashion Island, Newport Beach, according to the news release.

The woman alleged Baker, owner of Beautiful Image LLC located at 30012 Ivy Glenn, Suite 220 in Laguna Niguel, assaulted her several times over a three month period under the guise he was training her to use a "soon-to-be-patented" cosmetic "Micro Current" device that was designed to reduce age lines, cellulite and promote weight loss, the Sheriff's Department stated.

Baker apparently paid the woman for each training period and claimed that 18 other women participated in his training program and failed for various reasons, according to the Sheriff's Department.

Baker also indicated he had changed the business name to "Bio Nova LLC," according to the news release.

Investigators believe some of the other women may have fallen victim to his alleged training program involving the medical device.

Baker was booked into Orange County jail on suspicion of penetration with a foreign object and sexual battery.

Baker posted $50,000 bail and was scheduled to appear in court pending charges being filed by the Orange County District Attorney.

Anyone with additional information, or who believes they were a victim, was asked to call the Sheriff's Department's Special Victims Unit at 714-647-7418 or 714-647-7000.
