A 15-year-old boy was arrested Wednesday in the alleged, caught on video, attempted abduction of a boy from a park in Washington.

The unidentified teenager was booked into a juvenile facility on suspicion of second-degree kidnapping, according to TV station KCPQ in Seattle.

Surveillance video showed what appeared to be a young man running down a sidewalk with the boy in his arms while being chased by the child’s sister.

The abductor eventually dropped the child and disappeared, Lincoln County Sheriff Wade Magers said in a news release reported by the station.

“During the last 24 hours Lincoln County detectives focused on a suspect who resides in Sprague,” Magers told the station.  “Additional evidence, interviews, DNA collection, and surveillance was conducted … a photo montage was also utilized and one of the siblings positively identified the suspect.”

KTLA sister station KCPQ in Seattle contributed to this story.
