Three men approached a woman on the lawn of a Valley Glen home during daylight hours Wednesday, forced her inside and burglarized the home, according to LAPD.

The incident occurred about 11:45 a.m., according to LAPD Official Liliana Preciado.

The three men may have been armed and apparently slapped the older victim with a cellphone, Preciado said. The woman, described as being in her 40s, had a minor with her when she was attacked, Preciado said.

The home invasion occurred in the busy 5900 block of Fulton Avenue (map), across from Valley College.

The men took property from the home, Preciado said. She would not specify what was stolen or give its value.

Also Wednesday afternoon, three men in their 20s invaded a home in the 19500 block of Runnymeade Street in Winnetka (map) in an incident that was not related, Preciado said.

Armed the handguns and wearing bandanas over their faces, they took iPhones, clothes and other items and fled in a vehicle, Preciado said.
