Exotic Pet Lizard Found on Fontana Street; Owner Sought

The Fontana Police Department posted this photo of a recently found Tegu lizard to its Facebook and Twitter pages.

Police were asking for the public’s help on Monday in locating the owner of a Tegu lizard that was recently found on a street in Fontana.

The lizard, considered to be an exotic pet, was recently located in the 18000 block of Granada Avenue (map), according to a post on the Fontana Police Department’s Facebook page.

It was immediately taken to Western Riverside Animal Shelter.

The department posted a photo of the lizard to Facebook and Twitter with the hope that the owner would come forward or someone could help them locate him or her.

Anyone with information about the whereabouts of the owner was asked to call Fontana police Animal Services Supervisor Jamie Simmons at 909-350-7620.
