More than 10 days after a Mar Vista teenager disappeared, her friends were doing their part Friday to get the word out about the missing 15-year-old in hopes someone may know where she is.

The teen was last seen around 8 p.m. on March 24 in the 11200 Block of Westminster Avenue (map), according to a news release from the Los Angeles Police Department that was distributed on Tuesday.

The girl’s mother told police her daughter went for a walk near the Mar Vista Recreation Center to calm down, but never returned.

Complicating matters, her mother said the teenager has a form of autism and needs medication.

Her friends were doing what good friends do, showing her picture around the community in hopes someone would remember seeing her.

Anyone with information regarding the teens whereabouts was asked to contact the LAPD at 310-482-6371.

Those wishing to remain anonymous can call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (800-222-8477).
