Man Last Seen With Missing Grandmother Sought by Police in South L.A.

Police in South Los Angeles were asking for the public's help Wednesday in locating a missing grandmother and the man who was last seen with her.

Zakiyyah El A’min, 60, was last seen around 1 p.m. on the afternoon of March 23 in the company of Kevin Walker Jones, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

In the early morning hours of March 24, Jones was allegedly seen moving out of his residence and hasn't been seen since, police said.

Now considered a person of interest, police were looking for Jones and an unidentified woman believed to be with him.

On Thursday, police were expected to release surveillance video of a man and woman removing items from Jones' apartment.

Anyone with information on El A’min's whereabouts was asked to contact the LAPD Missing Persons Unit at 213-996-1800.
