Driver Sought After Bicyclist Struck in Apple Valley Hit-and-Run

Deputies are searching for a hit-and-run driver who struck and injured a bicyclist in Apple Valley Monday night.

The bicyclist was traveling north on Kiowa Road near Bear Valley Road (map) at about 9:40 p.m. when he was struck from behind by what witnesses described as a white KIA Sedona, according to a news release from the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department.

The victim was airlifted to Arrowhead Regional Medical Center with unknown injuries, the Sheriff’s Department stated.

The driver fled the scene without stopping, according to the news release.

No description of the driver was available.
