Officials on Sunday released the name of a 36-year-old woman who was shot and killed outside a bar in Harvard Heights.

The shooting was reporting about 8 p.m. Saturday in front of Lupillos Bar in the 1400 block of South Western Avenue (map), said Sgt. Dino Caldera of Los Angeles Police Department’s Olympic Division. The victim was shot once in the head, Caldera said.

It was unclear whether she died at the scene or at a hospital.

The woman was later identified as Siria Imelda Portillo-Torres, of Los Angeles, according to the Los Angeles County coroner’s office.

The incident was possibly the result of a domestic issue, police said.
