Motorcycle Crash in Rancho Cucamonga Leaves 1 Dead, 1 Hospitalized

A motorcycle crash in Rancho Cucamonga on Saturday afternoon left one person dead and another hospitalized, authorities said.

The collision occurred shortly before 3:30 p.m. when the motorcycle struck a parked vehicle near the intersection of Elm Avenue and Church Street (map), said Jodi Miller, a spokeswoman for the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department.

Deputies responded to the scene, where one person was pronounced dead, Miller said. A second person involved in the crash was transported to a hospital for treatment.

No other information about the victims was immediately released.

The cause of the incident was unknown.

Members of a Major Accident Investigation Team were called to the scene and were conducting investigation, the Sheriff’s Department said.
