A teenage girl suffered serious head trauma Saturday when she was struck by a vehicle while crossing the Pacific Coast Highway in Huntington Beach, police said.

The girl was believed to have been walking against a red light at Center Signal when she was hit, Huntington Beach Police Department Lt. Svendseo said around 10 p.m.

The driver remained at the scene and alcohol was not believed to be a factor, Svendseo said.
