Woman Awoke to Find Strange Man Standing Over Her Bed in Agoura Hills Area: LASD

A woman awoke early Friday in her Agoura Hills-area home to find a strange man standing over her bed who fled after the woman screamed and he was confronted by another person in the house, authorities said.

Investigators with the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Malibu/Lost Hills Station were called to the home in the 29000 block of Silver Creek Road about 5:11 a.m., according to a sheriff’s news release.

A woman told them she screamed when she awoke to see the man standing over her, bringing another male resident of the home into the room. The man confronted the intruder, who successfully fled the home.

The burglar, who was shown in a sketch provided by the Sheriff’s Department, fled in a white Jeep Cherokee from model years 1995 to 2000. The vehicle had black mirrors, authorities said.

He entered the home through an unlocked patio door, according to the Sheriff’s Department.

The intruder was described as a Hispanic man, 25 to 30 years old, 5 foot 7 inches tall, 150 pounds, and with short, dark hair.

The Sheriff’s Department referred to the the man as a “hot prowl burglar.”
