The blaze erupted shortly before 3 a.m. at a structure in the 4600 block of Firestone Boulevard, according to the Los Angeles County Fire Department.

After firefighters arrived to find flames and smoke emanating from the roof, they entered the building and knocked down an attic fire within about 30 minutes, said Battalion Chief Nick Betkutka.

No injuries were reported.

The location was previously the site of the Rincon Taurino restaurant and has recently been used as a storage facility for cooking equipment.

The cause of the blaze is under investigation.
