Man Who Was Fatally Shot While Riding Bike Home From Work in Commerce Is ID’d

A 19-year-old bicyclist who was found fatally shot early Tuesday morning at an intersection in Commerce has been identified, authorities said.

The body was discovered about 2:50 a.m. at Eastern Avenue and Peachtree Street, according to a news release from the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department.

The man, later identified as 19-year-old Bryan Hernandez, was pronounced dead at the scene. He had been riding his bike home from work when he was shot and killed, according to an afternoon update from the Sheriff's Department.

It was unclear how many times he had been shot.

Homicide detectives were investigating. No other information was immediately available.
