The pair primarily targeted convenience stores and gas stations in the cities of Colton, Fontana, Temecula, Corona, Riverside, Beaumont, Hesperia, Victorville, Moreno Valley, San Bernardino, and Menifee, the release stated.

The pair wore a gas mask and a President Obama mask to disguise themselves during the robberies, according to investigators.

While investigating one of the robberies at a convenience store in Fontana on June 23, a fingerprint was found that was later identified by the San Bernardino County Crime Lab as belonging to Hernandez, police said.

Robison was later determined to be the second suspect in the robberies, according to the release.

On July 9, the pair were taken to custody while leaving a restaurant in Colton by Fontana police officers.

At the time of his arrest, Robison was in possession of a President Obama mask and a loaded semi-automatic firearm, according to investigators.

A search warrant was later served at a location in Moreno Valley where Robison rented a room where investigators found a gas mask allegedly used by Hernandez in several of the robberies, according to the release.

A marijuana grow consisting of approximately 150 plants was also discovered at the Moreno Valley location, police said.

Investigators said both men confessed to the 15 robberies. They were later booked at the West Valley Detention Center and were each being held on $1 million bail.
