Man Found Fatally Bludgeoned in La Puente; Investigation Underway

An investigation was underway Thursday after a man was found fatally bludgeoned on a road in La Puente, authorities said.

Callers about 3:30 a.m. reported hearing shouting in the 14900 block of Janetdale Street, said Lt. Dave Coleman of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department’s Homicide Bureau.

Deputies responded to the location and discovered a man on a dirt road suffering from apparent blunt-force trauma, according to the lieutenant. Paramedics arrived at the scene and pronounced the victim dead.

He was not immediately identified.
