Vehicle Goes Over Side of Mountain Road North of Glendora; 6 Hospitalized

Six people were transported to a hospital Sunday evening after a vehicle went over the side of a mountain road north of Glendora and plummeted about 300 feet, officials said.

Their conditions were not immediately known.

Search and rescue teams responded the crash site, near the intersection of Glendora Mountain Road and Glendora Ridge Mountainway, the Los Angeles County Fire Department said on Twitter about 9:13 p.m.

Firefighter-paramedics in two Fire Department helicopters assisted in rescue operation, according to the agency.

Three of the victims were transported from the scene by ambulance, fire officials said.

The cause of the crash was unknown. An investigation was being conducted by the California Highway Patrol.
