This is the closing weekend for the Duesenberg exhibit at the Lyon Air Museum in Santa Ana. Dusenbergs were  the finest cars money could buy from 1928 to 1935. It is estimated that 378 of the 481 originally manufactured Duesenbergs are still on the road today!

This is the last weekend of the Blue Star Museums Program, offering FREE admission to active duty military personnel and their families.

More than 2,000 museums in all 50 states are participating including The Getty Center -- where a rare exhibition of bronze statues are on display.

The Descanso Gardens in La Canada – Flintridge is a Blue Star Museum -- where you can take a look at the CENTER CIRCLE to see how beautiful a water-wise garden be and get tips on making your own landscaping more sustainable.

Another California Blue Star Museum is the Bowers Museum, where the new exhibit 1968 has opened. It features a 1968 living room with a Huey helicopter actually used in Vietnam in the middle of it.  

The state of the art, multimedia exhibit examines the social forces of the turbulent 1960’s that crested in 1968.

Another BLUE STAR MUSEUM participant is the Autry National Center in Griffith Park, where members of the military and their families can see for free “Empire and Liberty”,  the first major museum exhibition to illuminate the causes and legacies of the American Civil War from the vantage point of Westward expansion.
