This is the first feature length documentary to explore the Black Panther Party and its significance to the broader American culture. Award-winning director Stanley Nelson tells the story with rare archival footage and the voices of the people who were there. The film features those active the movement in Oakland, NY, Chicago and Los Angeles.. The film world premiered at 2015 Sundance Film Festival. It open in LA on September 25, 2015 at the Landmark Nuart.
