Magnitude-3.5 Earthquake Strikes Near Big Bear Lake: USGS
A magnitude-3.5 earthquake struck near Big Bear Lake at 6:55 a.m. Wednesday, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.
The quake’s epicenter was located six miles southwest of Big Bear City and 12 miles east of Running Springs. Its depth was measured at 6.3 miles, the USGS said.
There were no reports of injuries or damage.
KTLA viewers reported feeling the temblor in Menifee, Murrieta, San Jacinto and Hemet.
San Bernardino County resident Vandi Norris Mason said she experienced a “quick jolt” in Yucaipa.
The Geological Survey initially reported the earthquake’s magnitude as 3.6.
