The Los Angeles Police Department honors LAPD Swat Officer Randy Simmons at their 8th Annual 5K Run, Crossfit Challenge and Bike Ride.

Officer Randy Simmons was the first LAPD SWAT Officer to be killed in the line of duty February 7th, 2008. LAPD's Metro Division has this annual event to support The Randal D. Simmons Outreach Foundation.
