An officer shot and killed a man in Fontana Friday accused of being armed while banging on his neighbor’s door, scaring the victim, according to local police.

Police responded to reports of a disturbance near Tangelo Avenue and San Jacinto Circle around 12:30 a.m., according to a Fontana Police Department news release.

The reporting party told officers he/she was scared because a male neighbor, who may have a weapon, was banging on the residence.
