More than 1,000 dogs and cats rescued from overcrowded Southern California shelters were moved to new homes across the country in Wings of Rescue’s Annual Holiday Airlift to Freedom. The effort took place the Van Nuys Airport. This segment aired on the KTLA 5 News at 1 on Nov. 20, 2015.
