Student, 3 Other People Injured After Crash Involving School Bus, Vehicle in Menifee: Fire Department

One student and three other people were injured after a school bus and vehicle crashed in Menifee on Wednesday, according to the Riverside County Fire Department.

The department had initially said 22 people were injured.

A school bus, carrying 19 students, and solo vehicle crashed near Evans and Holland roads, according to the department. The incident was reported around 1:54 p.m.

Four people were transported to an area hospital — one student with moderate injuries; and three people in the second vehicle, one with serious injuries, one with moderate injuries and one with minor injuries, the Fire Department said in an updated news release.

The bus was from the Perris Union High School District.

The Riverside County Fire Department, Cal Fire, California Highway Patrol, Riverside County Sheriff’s Office and American Medical Response all responded.
